OWNER AND CREATIVE VISIONARY
Would you believe it if I told you my background is in Finance? I’m a Finance Manager by day and Creator by night (and any free time in between). I dreamed of being an interior designer so this business is feeding my creative soul.
I started Jami Creates back in May of 2020 as simply an Instagram account to showcase digital art and fill my new found extra time thanks to Covid. It allowed me to balance out my job in Corporate America and serve as a creative outlet. It’s since then transpired into an amazing community and is so much more than just selling products, it’s also about making connections and giving back to the community.
MEET JAMIFrom an Idea to Creation:
STEP ONE: DIGITAL DRAWINGS
All products start as a digital drawing, whether that’s in Procreate or Illustrator. I keep a running list of design ideas and when the creativity hits, I get to work!
STEP TWO: PICKING A PRODUCT
I spend a fair bit of time finding just the right product to put the new design on. 9 times out of 10 it’s a sticker or a towel! But a new type of product is always fun too.
STEP THREE: OFF TO PRINT
After I spend a time finding the perfect product, I have to find the best partner to have them printed. This requires alot of sample products and back and forth with printers.
FINAL STEP: SHIPPING ORDERS
The best part of the process is getting to package everything up and shipping it off to stores and customers!
